Beyond all expectations!

Wow!

I have to admit that it's surprised me how quickly the 3Day Crop has filled up and I can not wait to get the ladies working on their fundraising. Although our goal is to each raise $2,000.00, raising more would be like the frosting on our cupcake an extra treat and the real reason we reach for the cupcake to begin with!
So here is to an exciting 7 months~ I can't wait to see what time brings our way!

Here we go again - Round Two!

It's that time of year again, Pre-registration has already happend for the 2nd Annual 3Day Crop at French Valley. This year the event will take place starting on Friday, November 12 and will end on Sunday, November 14.

Last year was such a success, we raised $12,000.00 with just a handful of participants! I can't wait for November to roll around. We all had an amazing time...what a great group of ladies! Here's some of the details for this year...keep checking back for more information and updates. I'll also be sending out monthly news through Ratepoint.

51 days to go...

Alright ladies,

We have just about 51 days to go...so far I have 4 of the 6 participants who have their photo and bios up on the Scrapbook Royalty website, it's really cool you should go check it out and then write me a quick bio about why you're doing the 3Day Crop, send it to me with a picture and we'll get your information up on the website too.

There is still plenty of time for you to collect your $2,000.00 in donations. We have 2 of our participants that are both over half way there. It just takes a little effort and some time. So far the letter campaign has been the most effective. You have several different versions in the notebook, use one or write your own. The trick seems to be sending a self addressed envelope!

Tonight is the Pat and Oscar's dinner, I hope you all passed out flyers. I'm heading out to the Carlsbad location in just a few minutes.

Let me hear from you if you have any questions. We still have space for 4 more people to join us!

We've gotten our 1st on line donations!

Yee haw! It works! Kudos to Liz Goldsberry for recieving the first on-line donations!
Remember to get me your bio and a picture to post on the web!

Liz, Cheryl and Jean raised $216.00 with their Silent Auction items at this weekends Desert Scrapper's Retreat. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it would fund a mamogram!
They average about $125.00 a person!

Also, it's just 2 weeks until the CropMeet!
Are you getting your yardsale stuff together?
I've been putting boxes aside in my garage!
We have to get the word out about the yardsale.
Make sure you let everyone know the dates and times for the yardsale!

Also, if you're going to be attending the Crop at the CropMeet, I need you to get on-line and register so I know to expect you! I also need to know if you are going to donate any Silent Auction items.

Hugs to all of you!

3 months to go....

Things are starting to get exciting...
We have just confirmed that Stephanie Ackerman will be teaching a class for the 3Day/1Day Crop participants on Saturday, November 22! This is included in your registration fee! She's busy trying to decide what cool project to bring our way!
Participant Bios Needed!
I still need some of your bios for the website! I received the bio for Jean Bruns just the other day. If you haven't been to the website, it's really cool to see the smiling faces of our participants! Plus the people you are soliciting donations from can go and click right on your smiling face and make an on-line donation!
Bonus Oppurtunity!
I'm heading out to the Desert Scrapper's Retreat on September 12th, and will take out a Silent Auction Basket for you! Just another way to raise some donations! Some of you have already indicated that you want to do this...if you have already sent me an e-mail you do not need to send me another one!
Other good news!
Jean Bruns has stepped up and will be hosting lunch at the CropMeet on the 26th of September!
Please e-mail me and let me know what you are interested in hosting or participating in for the CropMeet! Remeber this is a crop for you and a great way for you to raise some donations!
If you want to do a class or offer a make and take for a fee...we need samples as soon as possible so we can get them up on the website and out on the blog. I'm going to give you a deadline for this, I need them no later than September 1st! We'll do a big e-mail blast and get it out there to potential participants!
We are hoping to get a lot of traffic for you at this event. We are planning on hosting 25-36 croppers at the event from 9am until 9pm and the yardsale/silent auction will be from 9am until 3pm, giving you a chance to crop the afternoon and evening away!
As participants of the 3Day/1Day crop, I will have seats for you, you do not need to register or pay for the CropMeet!

At the CropMeet you will be able to...
  • Sell items at the yardsale
  • Host a silent auction basket
  • Teach a class ( plan on 6 participants for your class.)
  • Offer a Make and Take for a fee
  • Host Dinner - might see if you could get a pizza place to donate pizza for the evening!
  • Know anyone who give massages? You can see if they will come do massages and split the fees with you towards your donations!

Bonus Oppurtunity!

Bonus oppurtunity...I will be going out to the Desert Scrapper's Retreat the weekend of September 11-13. Weaare going to be doing some raffles and some silent auctions. I'm going to offer you all an oppurtunity to donate a basket for the auction or raffle which will go towards your donation goal. Please let me know if you are interested in doing this. I would need to have your basket no later than the 10th of September. It can be anything....scrapbook supplies or other items. Hand made items go really well!

Please e-mail me if you are interested!

Great website to help you with fundraising

Sometimes it is easier to ask someone to buy something than to just ask for a donation.

There is a website called Fund Raising for a Cause and it offers lots of great pink ribbon items with easy to purchase pricing...buy one item and see how easy it is to raise your donations!
